A. I am always looking for continual improvement in my work and the process of conceiving and producing each new book teaches me more and more about our fascinating world.

Q. Why do you write?
A. I hope my two sons and daughter will one day read my books and appreciate them and understand more about how I think. In addition, I find the creative process extremely enjoyable. I write therefore I am.
Q. What is your greatest strength as a writer?
A. My star sign is Virgo, so I give great attention to detail. All of my work is edited and reviewed until it’s (almost) perfect.
Q. What quality do you most value in yourself?
A. Patience and persistence.
Q. In addition to writing, what else are you passionate about?
A. Bringing up my family, reading the classics, having fun with the several languages that I speak.
Q. What are you most proud of accomplishing so far in your life?
A. Getting to my current age fit and healthy, and looking forward to many more years of productive writing to come.

A. I read only the best authors, those who lead by example. Here are a few from the top of my list: Le Carré, Du Maurier, Böll, Dostoyevsky, Shakespeare, Austen, Bryson, Goscinny, Frost, Twain, Høeg.
